Fluoropolymers ( PFA, FEP, TefzelÒ ETFE, HalarÒ ECTFE, KynarÒ PVDF)
Fluoropolymers are semi crystalline thermoplastics that offer unsurpassed chemical resistance properties, purity and electrical insulating characteristics. They have good resistance to elevated temperatures (up to 500° F) but tend to have lower mechanical properties than most engineering grade thermoplastics. They were developed to be economical injection moldable alternatives to the originating fluoropolymer TeflonÒ PTFE.
