Allegheny
Process Equipment
A brief history
With the commercial introduction of polypropylene in 1964, Allegheny
personnel foresaw the potential of fabricating this versatile plastic into process
equipment for metal finishing applications. These industries used corrosive acids,
caustics, and other cleaning and plating solutions that severely attacked traditional
steel equipment.

Allegheny Process Equipment is located near Pittsburgh, the birthplace of
the American steel industry. In order to service that industry we have developed designs
for substantial, heavy-duty fabrications that withstand a corrosive environment and severe
mechanical abuse. Our reputation for industrial duty equipment continues today.
