Engineered Paper Cards
Paper mills have developed substrates that are specially engineered to have the same look and feel of plastic cards. Our paper cards are very rigid for the optimum performance in the hands of the consumer. We use specially designed hard steel die cut tools for crisp clean edges perpendicular to the card face.
The materials we use to produce paper cards are sourced from responsibility managed forests and carry the FSC® certification. FSC is an acronym for the Forest Stewardship Council®, an independent organization that was established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Allegheny has attained FSC® certification.
The bright white premium cardstock paper we use is available in 24 pt and 28 pt (standard credit card) thickness. Allegheny’s paper cards contain a minimum of 30% recycled content. We also offer a 100% PCW (post-consumer waste) substrate option.
We continue to develop and expand the features we offer for paper cards to make sure they are easily recycled in consumer recycling programs. Our paper cards are suitable for all traditional card embellishment attributes such as:
